In beta3 I had GAIM configured so the window, system tray icon, and windows tab at the bottom of the screen didn't flash when there was a new message. This didn't carry over to beta4. Is there any way to configure this? I've been looking through the preferences and plugins, playing around to try and turn this off and can't seem to find the option.

Thanks, sorry I'm a newb - just saw the older messages about this not being available in beta4. Is there a straightforward way to reinstall beta3 without GAIM crashing on startup?

Beta5 didn't resolved this problem (for windows) because signals in the tray also the new messages sent by already opened windows. It would be nice if only the new conversation will make blink the tray icon as in 20.0 b3.1 to wich I came back after tried b5.

Wait for beta5 the preferences for most of those should come back (though in slightly different forms).

Not if you use MSN, but you could always go get beta 3.1 which has the MSN crash fix.
