I'm using Gaim 2.0.0beta3.1 with the ICQ protocol only and I have the following issue. If I set the encoding to cp1251 in my account properties, my IM's are properly encoded and I'm able to read the text that my buddies send me; the status message (both in main window and tooltips) and the contact info (gender) are messed up. If I set the encoding to windows-1251 or cp-1251 (note the dash) I get the reverse effect - the status message is OK but I get the buggy client warning in IM's written in cyrillic. I found a couple of threads regarding the same matter but they are rather outdated... Thank you for your help!
Best Regards,
Dimitar
P.S. I've already reported it as a bug because in the previos beta version this was not an issue.
