Every time I type 't' into a IM window, the New Instant Message dialog pops up. I can't type 't' at all. My CTRL, ALT, and "windows key" is not stuck. I am running Ubuntu 6.10, with Gaim 2.0 b3.1. It just happened all of a sudden. I'm sure it's something stupid but it's driving me insane lol. Anyone have an idea?? I've also rebooted my computer.
Thanks,
-Steven

You accidentally bound 't' to the New Instant Message menu item, open the Conversation menu, hover over the New Instant Message item and hit Backspace (or any other key you want to bind to that menu item instead). (Also, before you do that notice how the menu item has 't' next to it, like other menu items have 'Ctrl+X', that is telling you the key you have bound to it.)

Oh wow. Hey that's pretty cool. Thanks Etan, I knew I had done something dumb, I just had no idea what. This will really come in handy now that I actually know how to use it lol =)

Also, it's ONLY in the conversation window that this occurs. Typing "t" into the buddy list searches for contacts beginning with "t" like it should.
