When my friends send me messages on MSN using custom emoticons, all I get is a cross showing that it cannot display the emoticon. With Live Messenger and other alternates using the MSN protocol that I have tried, they can all display the correct emoticons. What's the problem?

The same thing is happening to me with version 2.9.0.

That is the biggest problem when I talking with deeply custom emotion user .
I don't know what the ' X ' meaning for.
My platform is
WinXP SP3
I'm also experiencing this with version 2.10.0 but only when the contact is using the Microsoft client.
