I signed in on Gaim today and I'm having a puzzling problem. AIM seems to be signed onto, but there's no list of contacts. When I try to add one, AIM is not included in the medium listing. Did this happen because of the upgrade to beta 6? Or is AIM messing around with me?

I figured out what went wrong. When you put an away message on, even if you made sure it said you're available despite the status, AIM won't sign you on nor show your contacts; not even your offline contacts. It just says there's 0 in your AIM list. So I guess its a status bug. Thanks anyway.

If you have the status.xml file that causes this issue please submit a bug report about it with the file. There are unresolved issues with some of the recent aim/icq changes and status that we (as far as I know) have yet to be able to track down. Once you submit the file you can move it out of the way and gaim should create a status.xml file for you that works correctly.
