pidgin has never had a problem whereby it merged your buddy lists on the servers (that I can recall anyway). It does however merge the local buddy list view if you have the same group names on multiple protocols, that however is purely local.

No no as some points it did merge buddy list on server I remember clearly or even if it was local. Is that problem fix? can I log in 2 account on aim and not have to worring about one account picking up the other's buddy lists? Will the buddy list stay seperate?

As I said, I do not recall any such bug existing and certainly not one existing between protocols. Are you sure you are thinking about pidgin and not trillian or miranda? I believe one or both of those had that problem (and more) at some point in time. Either way, no, pidgin does no such thing at this point your server side lists will never be merged unless you add the buddies to the incorrect accounts yourself.

To the best of my knowledge (and the knowledge of a couple other of the pidgin developers) pidgin has *never* had such a bug. We do know, as I stated earlier, that both trillian and miranda have in the past (and might still I don't know) have this problem. And as I have now said numerous times, pidgin does not currently have that issue.

Does pidgin still have the problem of merging AIM and Yahoo accounts?
