When I want to log in into ICQ (all the details are correct) it stops at "Screen name sent" and then doesn't go any further. Jabber and IRC are working perfectly.
I installed my old ICQ client and it works. ICQ2GO, too.
I don't know why this problem exist, because I used ICQ with Gaim for about half a year now and then suddenly it stopped working.
Maybe the serverdetails help you a bit:
Auth host: login.oscar.aol.com
Auth port: 5190
Encoding: ISO-8859-1
Proxy type: No proxy (I checked the other options, but the don't work too.)
I hope you can help.

I have no clue why it didn't even occur to me to check netstat to see the connection. But you have my gratitude that you did. I've been using ICQ2GO but have long desired to move my ICQ onto GAIM.
Unfortunately as soon as I connected via GAIM I started getting pinged by all kinds of annoying bots. Oh well - I'll figure that out soon enough.
Thanks again!

Hey there,

My settings are slightly different, but seem to work:
Auth host: login.icq.com
Auth port: 443
Got these settings by checking netstat -a with the standard icq client running, defaults didn't work for me either.
Hope it helps!
