    Hello all,
I apologize if this has been covered already recently, but after upgrading from BetaV3 to V4, my windows no longer stay where I put them (chat window, buddy info, etc) It's been so long since I had to reconfigure plugins, I can't recall which one let you enable that, so the windows don't always open up in the top left. Could someone please let me know how to re-enable that? Or is it not included in this beta?

gaim never remembered your window positions, you likely installed the plugin for that, if you look in your plugin list any plugins that can't be loaded will be listed there, find the one that does what you want see if it lists where to get updates and go see if they have an updated one.

I've looked in the plugins folder in my GAIM directory, and see the proper plugin there; however it (and others) are not listed under the Plugin window that I pull up through GAIM; is there a method in which to 'add' plugins to the list that I'm not seeing?

Gaim or gaim, and no, any plugins in the plugins folder gaim will attempt to load, and in the recent betas should tell you why they couldn't load in the Plugins dialog. If they aren't in fact showing up there you can run gaim -d from a console and see what gaim says about the plugins in question.

I'm assuming from a different thread of yours that you're running some version of MS Windows. I'm also going to guess that you're running the extpos plugin since it's the only Gaim window position manager for MS Windows that I know of. If my assumptions are correct, then you need to grab the beta4 version from here:

        http://sourceforge.net/tracker/index.php?func=detail&aid=1414861&group_id=235&atid=390395

Search for "extpos_oct_19_2006.zip - Windows dll and source (gaim-2.0.0beta4)" way down at the bottom.

Plus a suggestion: it definitely helps avoid a lot of guesswork by folks trying to help you if provide more information regarding platform, versions, plugin names, etc.

        Cheers.
