I'm running v2.0.0beta4 and my multiple MSN accounts along with my AIM and ICQ accounts keep disconnecting.
Is there any way to correct this? Are there some ports that I need to forward on my router, or open on my software firewall?
Is there a way to just have GAIM auto reconnect?

I am using GAIM2b5 on WinXP and MSN is constantly timing out and disconnecting. I had the same problem with GAIM2b1 so I upgraded but am still having the problem. I don't use ZoneAlarm so are there any other fixes?

I am having this issue also with Yahoo, GTalk, and MSN. They're mostly read errors or switchboard errors. I can't decide if it is my network connection or not. And auto-reconnect is NOT happening for me in Beta 5 at all. I've no clue where this is built in, but if I disconnect, I STAY disconnected. It is very annoying.

I started getting disconnects this morning also. I have a @hotmail account and @passport account that I access at the same time in GAIM. The hotmail account works properly but the passport account comes and goes. Since the hotmail account is working 100%, I suspect it may be a MSN/passport server issue. No difference in connection with Beta 2 or Beta 5. Logs dont say anything. Beta 2 reported "READ ERRORS" while attemting to login to passport, but Beta 5 just says "MSN servers are temporarily unavailable".

Service may be working, but that does not mean that the info database behind it is, or that they are tweeking protocols or routers for DOS attacks or something... Basically, something that has worked for months all of a sudden stopped working - with no changes on the client side, so it has to be something upstream that is broken or now uncompatible.

"Windows Live Messenger" posts ERROR CODE: 81000314 - Service is temporarily unavailable when using a @passport.net account. At the same time the MSN service status says its OK.
Its got to be a MSN problem...

I'm having this same problem too, and they seem to have taken out the auto-reconnect plugin.
The auto-reconnect plugin was removed because that feature is now built in.
What does the gaim Debug Window say when you get disconnected? Anything interesting?
I'm still using V1.5 and I've had quite a few "unable to read" messages the past week or so. On two different YiM accounts. Maybe a yahoo thing?

What appears in the debug long when these disconnections occur?
