Whenever I try to open the application I get the following error:
"Windows cannot access the specified device, path, or file. You may not have the appropriate permissions to access the item."
I am an administrator of this XP Pro SP2 box and have had GAIM installed and operational for quite some time.
Any ideas?

Here's one thing I found:
If I rename pidgin.exe to something else (dpidgin.exe) then it works.
I'm not sure exactly what that means.
