Win98 SE with final version of GTK compatible with Win9x installed.
Error message I receive when trying to access program options either by pressing Ctrl+P or by going through the menus.

Just installed 2.2.0, tried CTRL+P, Tools-Preferences too, both work fine and I can tab through and change prefs. FYI
I'm happy for you. :-)
Sounds like you might be experiencing a version of this problem: http://developer.pidgin.im/ticket/2353
Try the workaround mentioned there, and see if it helps.
The problem only affects Win9X/ME users, due to the older version of GTK+.
I will try the fix after I shut Pidgin down for the day and will report back with my results tomorrow.
The workaround seems to have helped. I was able to access options after putting the line in. Thank you for the help.
