I would like something small and simple like a todo manager not to show an additional icon in my system tray, it's full enough. And pidgin is a program I have always open. Previously I used trillian and the 'do me' plugin as a todo manager, that worked wonderfull...

Why would such a thing be in pidgin? pidgin isn't a calendar.

Pidgin is an IM client, it isn't a kitchen sink. You are free to write any plugins you like but we don't encourage them.
