    Hi,

Is there a way to not show that I'm "idle/away" within pidgin IM?

I have a micro-manager who likes to take inventory on everyone when they go idle and it's annoying.

I've tried using some of these small apps to keep my mouse moving or F15 key entries but it still puts me into idle on pidgin.

I've also tried to install the "I'dle Ma'ker" pidgin plugin but doesn't seem to work either; it still puts me in idle if I go away for a couple minutes.

    Thank you!

Try going to Preferences and then Status/Idle. Set "Report idle time" to
"Never." That should do it, at least it works for me with my XMPP accounts.

The rest of the Status/Idle settings will still work. That is, you'll
still change to the desired status after X minutes of keyboard/mouse idle
time. It's just that it won't REPORT said idle time to buddies in your
      contacts list.
