I think the answer is "No," as I've been searching without luck, but thought I'd ask just in case I missed something:
The original ICQ had a nice DND function (not sure about the new bloated AOL enhanced version). When you were about to send a message to someone who had his Do Not Disturb on, it would display a confirmation box to make sure you were aware DND was on.
Is anyone aware of a plugin that gives a similar functionality to gaim?

I do not know of the existence of any such plugin but one should be easy enough to write if you wanted to. Though I'm not particularly sure why this would be wanted/needed. If the person on the other end really is DND then their client should do something intelligent with the message so as not to disturb them, or at the very least the person should just ignore it, but maybe that's just me.
