Im using gaim with windows and when it says getting cookie (while trying to connect to MSN) suddenly crashes!!

  Upgrade to the latest beta, 1.5.0 (and betas less than 3.1) will not work with MSN.

  I've just installed 1.5.0 -- the first version I'm using, and I'm experiencing the same crash with MSN.
  
  AIM and two Jabber clients work fine. Only my MSN config causes the program to asplode.

  As Etan wrote, you need to be using at least 2.0 beta 3.1 (current is beta 6). Anything earlier won't work with MSN.
