Every time I start Pidgin, I get an invitation from joy_allen_saintjohn to add me to their buddy list, despite the fact that I have "only allow users on my buddy list" selected. How do I permanently remove this?

i had this too. the way i removed it was to open up the yahoo client. when the invite popped up i selected the option to never receive invitations from this buddy again. back into pidgin and the invites ceased.

Nice! I actually didn't have the Y Messenger client installed, so I loaded it, took jsj off my ignore list, closed YM, re-opened it, and responded to the invitation to be invisible and to ignore invitations. Back to Pidgin...voila! Thanks for the tip.
