I have been a gaim user for I dont know how long.  Forever, it seems...
I haven't had any issues until today.  XP is current with patches EXCEPT the ones that were released today.

This is a corporate machine.  It runs Cisco's CSA (hips).  This morning GAIM was working just fine.  I left for a meeting, when I arrived at the meeting site and booted GAIM would not run.  When I got some time to troubleshoot here is what CSA is reporting:

1/9/2007 5:25:57 PM: The process 'C:\Program Files\Gaim\gaim.exe' (as user XXXX\XXXXXX) attempted to access 'C:\DOCUMENTS AND SETTINGS\XXXXXXXX\LOCAL SETTINGS\APPLICATION DATA\MICROSOFT\OUTLOOK\ARCHIVE.PST'. The attempted access was a read (operation = OPEN/READ). The operation was denied and process terminated.

Is there any reason GAIM would want to open my archive.pst file?  I can think of none.  I have accounts on MSN, Yahoo and Sametime.

Any idea?

Going home to scan for virii.
