This compiled perfectly on Mandriva 2007 (cooker) and I noticed it only has "Console Beep" "Command" and "no Sound" under Sound Method. I have no option for Automatic like before. Does anyone have this same problem ??

gaim now uses gstreamer for sound instead of libao, you need the gstreamer libraries/devel stuff installed for gaim to build with sound.
