In the latest pidgin, I can enable the I'dle Mak'er plugin, but there is no option to configure it. What is its purpose?
The reason I was looking at is that I am finding Pidgin not changing my status back to Available from Idle even though I am very active on the system (using keyboard and moues). And in fact I am going through all the options in the pidgin and it still doesn't recognize that I am Available. This may be a bug in Pidgin, but I was hoping that Idle Maker has some options to fix this behavior.

The idle maker plugin has no bearing on pidgin paying attention to your computer usage. Check your idle usage preference in pidgin what is it set to? Are you noticing a very large delay or just larger than you are used to? Something on the order of one minute? Or more like ten minutes?

The settings that I have are:
Report idel time: Based on keyboard or mouse use
Auto-reply: when both away and idel
Change Status when idle: checked
Minutes before changing status: 5
Change status to: Away
Use status from last exti at status: checked
I am noticing that sometimes it detects immediately, sometimes not even for several minutes. So far whenever I noticed this issue, I had to always manually change it, but haven't tried to notice for how long I might have been back. The next time I can see if it will change even after an hour.

I have noticed that the status doesn't change even after a couple of hours of using both keyboard and mouse. This basically means something is broken. Hasn't anyone else noticed this problem?

I haven't heard anyone having this problem. The timeout for detecting computer activity was increased for 2.0.1 but the detection should still be on the order of a minute, not hours. Is this linux or Windows?
