I had both tried Gaim 2.0ß and Gaim 1.5. Gaim 1.5 sended messages normaly to ICQ. But when I messaged between ICQ and Gaim 2.0 messages came like this. <font lang="0">HI</font>
Why?

I encountered the same problem. Previosly i used Gaim v1.5 - there was nothing like that (as in all other messengers!). But in v2.5beta i see these annoying '<font lang=...>'. All the time my mashine is behind firewall (Zone Labs Security).
How it could be solved?

Did you read datallah's response? This has been reported to be caused by some of the IM firewalls, if you are running such a product try turning it off or uninstalling it and seeinf if that helps.

Because of some change gaim made to the way it sends the messages? I don't know. Did you upgrade your firewall by any chance since using the older version of gaim? Is this in your outgoing messages or in the incoming ones? If it is in the incoming ones then it may also be a change in how gaim interprets the data coming from the server (which the firewall was always messing up). I really don't know, have you tried disabling/uninstalling your firewall to test it? Have you tried going back to an older gaim version now to test it?

Are you behind a firewall that does IM filtering or IM "virus protection"?
There have been reports of this being inserted by the IM firewall (I can't remember offhand which one).

My ADSL modem has firewall.
Problem of firewall? Then why older version of Gaim, as all other IMs don't show <font lang=...?
