I'm really used to using Trillian, but have recently switched over to Gaim 2.0 Beta 6. But the Gaim icons are incredibly large, meaning I can't have nearly as many contacts on a page without having to scroll, which is a bit tedious. How can I make the icons smaller (40-60% smaller)? Do I edit the images? Or do I disable the buddy-icons by them, and if so, how?

Go to the Buddies menu item and uncheck "Show Buddy Details"
