I browsed the FAQ and didn't see an answer to this one:
Is there a way to show the chat history in the chat window?
For example, if I close a chat window and re-open it later, having the history displayed in the window is a great help. I don't want to have to go to the logs to view the history. Is there any way to do this with Pidgin?
Also, I assume this has been answered before - I didn't see a way to search these forums…

The history plugin that ships with pidgin does exactly this.
