I'm running version 2.0.0-0.26.beta5.fc6 under Fedora Core 6.
I would quite like the option so that whenever someone initially sends me a message it pops up on my screen, but from then on just flashed. Much like the default behaviour of MSN Messenger under Windows.
However, although I can set a "buddy pounce" so pop up a windows informing me that I have been IM'd, every time they then type something and submit it I get another pop up informing me of this! I only need it to happen the once, when the conversation is initiated.
I thought the "recurring" checkbox in the "buddy pounce" config screen control this, but seemingly not. In fact, I've no idea what this does.
I work in an environment where I need to be immediately aware if I have been IM'd, and the flashing tray icon or glowing menu bar isn't enough to catch my attention.
Any help would be most greatly appreciated!
Thanks very much.
