I suddenly got the following error when attempting to connect to MSN and have been unable to log in for several days:
"Unable to validate certificate"
"The certificate for omega.contacts.msn.com could not be validated. The certificate chain presented is invalid."
I can still use MSN by using the web client at hotmail.com, so the account works fine.
I get this error with both version 2.7.11 and 2.10.6, on Slackware 64-bit.
I've tried to completely delete the ~/.purple directory, this didn't do anything.
There is nothing related to the error in the system logs.
I'm using server messenger.hotmail.com:1863 with "HTTP server method": gateway.messenger.hotmail.com
