We use Pidgin for IM conversations between colleagues, and also use a "Quest Policy Authority for Unified Communications" appliance for filtering and logging these conversations. This device brand was known as Akonix a couple of months ago. Basically, it is an IM proxy/gateway. Others may use FaceTime for this kind of service.
With the recent Yahoo! HTTPS authentication change, we were unable to log on using Pidgin v2.5.6. Once Pidgin v2.5.7 was released, we tried again but still does not work. Problem is Quest does not support Pidgin as an IM client. Yahoo! client works fine via the Quest PAUC.
Are we the only one to experience connection problems to Yahoo! using Pidgin v2.5.7 and the Quest device ? If so, what can we do for the service to resume ?
Many thanks for your replies.
