I'm running 2.0.0beta5 under WinXP, and have the following problem:
-My system tray icon doesn't flash
-I get a message notification in my system tray for windows that aren't opened
Sean mentioned that the first problem would be a check box in beta 5, but it doesn't look like he implemented it. I have had a look through all the preferences and plugins without success, as well as the xml configuration files under C:\Documents and Settings\<username>\Application Data\.gaim.
Can anybody tell me where I have to hack in the configuration to tweak these preferences until they are officially supported?
I also have a problem with the Extended Preferences plugin not being supported, which means that the tweaks I have made in earlier gaim versions cannot be reversed as the plugin is now inaccessible.
Does anybody have a solution to both these problems that doesn't involve reverting to an older version of Gaim? I'm more than happy to hack the registry or config files, but have had no success in my searches. I'm sure I'm not the only person with this problem either!
