I generally follow Pidgin's development very closely with each release to see how many/which bugs are fixed. I have a question, though, about the priority assignments that the tickets get in Trac. Does a ticket with higher priority mean that it's more of a focus for a given release, or does it mean that it's a more involved fix/feature to implement? Or does the label mean that either one (or both) of those might be true? Thanks in advance.

Also, for what it's worth, I noticed a lot of people disagree with the changes since the name change. I'd just like to note that not only do I prefer the new name (after reading the reasoning behind it), but I also think that more or less every change since then has been for the better. I appreciate your work.

By and large we ignore the priority field of a ticket. There may be instance-by-instance uses of it, but I don't believe we have any systematic usage for it. The milestone field we do actually make attempts to keep valid and meaningful though.
