From what I've heard before it will be the first TODO after GAIM 2 is done. It actually makes sens since GAIM 2 will probably have most of the things needed for text messaging implemented and then work can be started on the VV stuff. I'm guessing the VV stuff won't be easy to do at first because it will need a framework of some sort to support all the different protocols , just like the text messaging.
The devs can probably tell us more about this though.
