I love being able to use Gaim to talk to a select few gmail contacts, but ALL of them are automatically added to my buddy list. If I remove them, they simply show up again next time I start Gaim (I believe), because they are still in gmail's list. I can't delete them from gmail, because I need to email them; I just don't need to IM them. Is there a way to remove them from my buddy list (preferably without blocking them - though would that work if need be?) and not have them come back, but not lose them from gmail?
