The installer extract, executes, and deletes the gtk-runtime.exe, but then halts and says "Error installing gtk+ runtime."
I've never had this happen to me before. I think what may be conflicting has something to do with installing ActiveTCL, which asked if I wanted to change file extensions for registry files I think. I had no idea what I was doing. I'd installed Xchat2 from the following site and it suggested installing ActiveTCL.

Is there a log file I can view to see exactly what happened during the install? Is there anyone who can give me suggestions?

I forgot to specify the OS. I'm using Windows XP Pro.
Any suggestions at all would be much appreciated. I hope I didn't leave out any crucial details.
