Just wanted to let you guys know, last night Direct IM was added to gaim and just now was completed to the point where I thought I'd make an announcement. This makes gaim the first Open-Source AIM client with Direct IM.
For those of you brave enough to try it out, check gaim out of CVS and use Oscar (it's not in TOC yet). You can both make requests and receive requests (once it's added to TOC, if you use TOC, you'll only be able to receive requests). There are still features and bugs to be worked out but the basic functionality is there. Sorry, no images or sounds just yet.
