Is the new version of gaim-encryption with 0.76 backwards compatible with 0.74 and the then current gaim-encryption? Whenever I send messages to people using the older version, all I get are requests and encrypted messages which I can't read.

It should be. Do you not see the same problems when IM-ing people that also have 0.76/2.22 ? Do you see the same problem if you IM yourself?

What protocol are you using?

None of my friends have moved up yet -- they're letting me be the guinea pig (with good reason). Anyways, I am having the same problem IM'ing myself.

I'm using Windows GAIM 0.76 on WinXP and I've downloaded the latest versions of each yesterday afternoon. Just for reference, here's what I'm seeing when I IM myself (first half is with it enabled, second half is without):

(18:23:22) Derek: *** Encrypted with the Gaim-Encryption plugin
(18:23:23) Requesting key...
(18:23:44) Derek: TEST
(18:23:44) Derek: TEST
(18:23:46) Derek: TEST
(18:23:46) Derek: TEST

I'm guessing that you're using ICQ? I've finally started to be able to reproduce some of these problems and track them down... see other thread.

Sorry -- actually, I'm using MSN and YIM...
