when is the new release for the encryption coming out for the new gaim release?

You can try what I did to overcome this issue:
Open regedit, navigate to: HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\gaim
Modify the registery entry "Version"'s value to 0.80, install gaim-encryption, then modify this back to 0.81
Have not tested this extensively, but I could at least install the plugin after this.
