Attempting to open an IM window with an AIM or DeadAim
user with AimEncrypt causes gaim to close when
Gaim-Encryption is enabled.
Disabling Gaim-Encryption solves the problem of gaim
closing.

What else do you need to know?

well, a stack trace would be nice.

if you install the debug version of gaim, i can provide you with
a debug version of the gaim-encryption plugin and then we
can figure out what is happening.

I think there is some bug down in the gaim_find_buddy or
hash tables... there was a crash a month or so ago that some
Gentoo users were getting that looked alot like this
    (although it wasn't AimEncrypt related).

There should be some output if you run gaim with the -d
option. Specifically, right before the crash you should see
    a line like:

    gaim-encryption: get_buddy_default_autoencrypt for 0x20301:bob

Could you post the last section of the debug output,
including that line and any following?

    Thanks

With an updated version of gaim, gaim no longer crashes when an im is sent to an aim encrypt user with gaim-encryption enabled.
