Running slackware-current with Pidgin 2.0 and when I try to load the pidgin-encryption-3.0 plugin whole pidgin dies. Same second as I try to activate the plugin in its checkbox, and it all dies.

Any ideas? Tried to run it with gdb and strace but it showed no unexpected behavour (no errors at all). Or maybe I did it wrong.

Ran a backtrace with gdb and it said program exited normally,

Sounds strange. If you run from the command line with the -d option, do you get any interesting output indicating why the shutdown?
