Picture Dictionary / News: Recent posts

Based on Simple Wiktionary (simple.wiktionary.com), Simple Dictionary will soon be integrated with Picture Dictionary.

We have released our first version today. WE've been working hard at getting descriptions for the photos that we find. But doing that means the search is taking much too long. This release allows you to search for a word, but please be patient. It may take up to 15 seconds for results, because the database we are using is the Internet.

It may seem slow to use the Internet for our pictures, but one advantage is that you will receive new pictures on a regular basis.

Check back for Picture Dictionary v0.0.2. A basic prototype version of the picture dictionary with search capabilities will be released soon.

Created an initial concept using HTML, which allowed us to examine whether we'd like to use a web-based or application-based design.
