#9 unable to install on 2.4.22-1.2115.nptl linux kernel

First the system compiles on 2.4.22-1.2115.nptl only
after changing some source code (like task_struct does
not have next_task etc. ) .
After the compilation when i try inserting the pico.o
in the kernel i get
unresolved symbols (expand_stack and sys_call_table ).
I have copied the pice.conf file in to etc directory
and and checked in the System.map that above symbols
exist....
