I have tried to set up an account in phoenix but i keep getting "no data perhaps no route to server" when i fetch mail.

First check, that the server is really available (ping <server name as entered in the receive properties of the account>)
It is possible to create a protocol (go to enhanced - environment options, DUN/Online tab, check the 'Create Protocol' setting). Fetch again and post the protocol here (it is created in the folder were Phoenix Mail resides, passwords are hidden in the protocol).
Please include info about the version of Phoenix Mail you use as well.
