I am able to receive mails from my server. But sending
delivers always SMTP error 503.
What are the possible faults I make?

503 means "Bad sequence of commands", but I have never seen
this before. Try unchecking the "Use authentication"
checkbox on the SMTP tab.

your ISP perhaps not open port 25 to other servers for SMTP,
yahoo use port 587 for smtp
