I've solved both issues in my 2.1 proposal code already.
 
The packages are ready to be released as a possible 2.1 Release Candidate and have plenty of working examples demonstrating all features.
 
I can't actually make the time to package any new releases or do SF work in the near future, but the packages I've prepared so far are located at:

As always, I will make time to answer any questions you might have as to the packages I posted.
