not sure about the full potential of this feature, but it is definitely worth considering. it is somehow complementary to bookmarks. you can split the current editor window into one (or more?) subwindows and take a look at multiple places of one file at once. the effect is more or less the same as with bookmarks - to ease the browsing of the larger files and especially when the files are being worked on - it is just a different way to accomplish it.

to sum up the whole thing:
- user is able to split the editor window into one or more parts, either horizontally or vertically (or both?)
- i guess we should fully use the model/view architecture of qt for this
