I looked through the contacts mod and it would not be a very good address book. I had one made that works very nicely. I am posting the final module on http://www.EZHOAPortal.com later today. It will be available for a small price or donation I have not figured out which one yet. A working copy is already on http://www.westparkcommunity.org/index.php so you can see how it works.

I have decided to start over (from what little I had developed) with my Aevum project on SF to make it a phpWS mod for 0.9. The base install will be a basic contacts database, names, addresses, phone numbers, emails, birthday/anniversary.
Then you will be able to download module mods/plug-ins to make it more complex. One item that will be developed immedately after the base is done will be an alumni database plug-in, which would add things like graduation year/school etc. I'm hoping to provide a free alternative to classmates.com with that one.
So I'm hoping we'll get some users there. I'm waiting until 0.9 is final or final enough that Matt gets the module tutorial done.

Is it possible this could be made with an option so that each member that is registered and logged could have their own private address book. Maybe make a plugin for a calendar and tasks/reminders plugin, a journal plugin, etc. In other words, it could become their own little personal organizer. That's the kind of mod I would really like to see.
