I know a lot of people have been asking for a forum plugin/mod so I figured I would start the discussion. I would have to say that if you take ezboards and strip out the adds they have are one of, if note the, best boards on the net. I think if we could take what we see there and devolupe a similer message board system for PHPWS that would rock. PHPBB is close but I feel lacks some of the best functionality.

I'm not familiar with ezboards myself, what functionality does it have that is missing from phpBB?

Don't know about ezboards (www.ez.no), since I was unable to get the soft to install and the documentation, frankly, sucks.
phpws forum 0.5 module looks like it's heading in the right direction, and is really good looking so far! Big kudos to the developers!
I would like to see the following:
* ubbc tags
* javascript message editor with formatting buttons, smilies, etc.
* sub-forums, collapsible/menued structure?
* attachments, avatars, profile info
* "sticky" threads
Does phpws support groups? it would be nice to have forum access for groups only.
