Having trouble getting some of the modules to work. After 3 days of fighting with phpws I got it installed using core only.
I slowly added modules to see what could be causing the trouble and so far it seems to be the calendar and notes. There could be others too.
Install via Boost and i get confirmatian messages that the module installed okay but then when the site gets reloaded i get the dreaded error 500 messages.
Has this happened to anyone else and is there a work around?
Thanks
Catherine

We'd need more information to know what's going on with your installation. What you had to do to get it installed, server/DB/PHP type & version, stuff like that.
Depending on your server setup, there should be an error.log file hanging aruond somewhere. The specific errors that you encountered should be recorded there.

Here's the deal...I am to use the following modules without problem: announce, blockmaker, pagemaster, menuman, linkman. As soon as I add Calendar, photoalbulm, or formgenerator or comment manager, I get error 500 messages. And then I am not even able to repair the phpws by deactiving modules. When I do try to repair my install i get a message that module tables are not installed:
Here is a link with the specifics regarding mysql, apache, php from my webhost 1and1.com
My guess and this is just a guess is that somehow those modules and their scripts(?) conflict with those offered by the webhosting company. They do offer a form generator and a few other basic scripts.
I spent over 8 hours yesterday deleting and reinstalling
I originally started with the current stable release: 0.9.3-1 but have moved on to the 0.9.3-2. I have the same problem with both.
At the moment I dont have error logs. I have written a request for info from the host.
As far as installing...The scripts did not work so I chmod as per the instructions. The install goes fine, it even says that all the mods build correctly and are successful. I have done core only and install each different module one by one without success..
Is that better?
