Hi all, I am new to phpwebsite.
I did an install of 0.8.1 and am now trying to install the forum plugin. I am getting errors that the database.plugin doesn't exist.
I also did not have a "plug-in" directory.
I am a little confused- did my install screw up or is it the plug-in.
All help appreciated- thanks

No, don't worry, it's not your fault in the slightest.
'Plugins' only run on versions of phpWebsite prior to 0.8.0. From version 0.8.0 the way plugins worked was changed quite a bit and so old plugins no longer work.
You might like to contact the author directly to see if they are working on a compatible version.
Depending on the license of the plugin, we may adapt the module here at the plugin forge in the next few weeks so that it works with 0.8.0 onwards.
Sorry for the bad experience you've had, hopefully things will level out in the next few months :-)

Thanks, guess I just jumped in in the middle of major changes.
I was getting a little confused about the difference between plug-ins, addons, and modules.
Good or bad- the experience is the fun of it all.
Thanks again
