      Hello,
Webalizer is an apache log stats analyzer which I believe is written in c++ or c.  I haven't installed it but after seeing a module I'm thinking about it.  It can be found probably on sourceforge and for sure at http://www.hotscripts.com.

but... you probably knew this already and wanted a more indepth view. :-)

Nope, didn't... hadn't had time to follow up. Thanks!

<sigh> Too many irons, not enough fire.

I hope nobody missunderstood what is the Webalizer mod for, it`s to display the Stats and diagrams that are generated by Webalizer within your phpWebSite. Well but it's really worth to think about it, i have installed Webalizer on my Windows-Box without any problems, nearly everything was automatically confgured. You can see a demo of Webalizer mod on http://www.manni.zapto.org/mod.php?mod=webalizer

I understood your Mod's purpose, Guerrillero. What I didn't know is what Webalizer was.

Now that I know it's an Apache log analyzer with a lot of very nice bells and whistles possible, I'm sure it would make a very good-looking Mod. But unfortunately my connection to your server is refused, so I haven't had the opportunity to see your demo.

      Hi all,

I like the webaliser very much to have it on my website, and I hope someone will help me to install it.

I understand that the webalizer module will show all the details like the link above within the phpws, but I understand that unless one has the actual program "webaliser" with all the files installed on line on the site, the module is no good.

      So, my QUESTION is:

what is the first step I have to do to install all the webaliser files on my site?
what version of webalizer to install?

I tried to understand reading a little, but as I am not an expert, I got lost.

I would appreciate if someone would show me all the steps to follow from downloading to installation.

I thank you all in advance.

Well, i cannot help you with the installation of Webalizer itself, i don't know how to install it on Linux or other Systems, i only have installed it on my Windows Machine, there the installiation was very simple, i selected all standardvalues, then i just made the directory where the stats are generated accessible through the web . That was all. And now for the phpwsWebalizer Module i just define the directory where the files are accessible, e.g. in my case it was "http://www.manni.zapto.org/usage/" (don't forget the ending slash), or it also works if i would just define "/usage/" because it's on the same domain. Well, thats all, then it should display the stats within your phpWS

salvo, if you click the webalizer link from the demo site youll get to a page with the source code, install instructions et al.

if you cannot get to mannis demo try mine (i switched from my own stats to webalizer.. c is way faster than php/mysql in this case) at http://phpgirl.com/mod.php?mod=webalizer

i also modified a file in webalizer so it spits out valid xhtml :) if you need to install it to linux/unix and need the file, let me know. i can email it.
