Initial Comment:
I realise that once can assign catagories to different
contacts, and for all I know this may already be a
feature that I have just been unable to use. But on my
site I am sure users would be concerned about privicy. 

So maybe having an option for making their contact
information viewable to: all, just those in the
category of their choice, or not shown at all.
