Initial Comment:
A couple of friends I conned into help test the module
complained that their first post to the forum was
actually labeled as "Post: 2" in the author column.  I
went to the database table to check and sure enough,
users who hadn't posted yet were shown as having one
post, meaning that their first post would be #2. 
What's odd is that my user didn't have that problem and
my first post was labeled as number one.

It was a fresh install of phpwsbb.  The users were
added before phpwsbb was installed.  All users were
given as least some permissions to the module.
