Initial Comment:
I get this lovely error when adding a new member rank
via the Settings page:

"SQL: insert mod_phpwsbb_user_ranks (rank_title,
rank_min, rank_special, rank_id) values ('God to be
feared', 0, 0, 1)
unknown error"

Also, maybe because I haven't looked around enough yet,
maybe because I can't add a new rank, but I can't
figure out how to assign a user to a "special rank".  I
assume I'm missing something.

Using 1.0.0 CVS version.
