#33 Forum thumbnail
Optionally add a forum thumbnail in the forum edit settings
dialog. Probably no bigger than 16x16 by default.
Show it in a column on the left of the forum name in the
view_forums.tpl template giving a visual clue as to which
forum is which. Make it a link.
Perhaps this should pick up the fatcat category icon if
available? although those tend to be bigger than 16x16

Yes this would be great. It would be nice to also have
graphical buttons for the actions like reply and such like
phpBB. The only problem is I have no graphical skills at
all. So if you can get some made that are free for use then
I'll see what I can see about adding them in.

How are you thinking of adding them?
The problem with graphics is that unless their use is for entirely
pictorial reasons, you have to translate the text on the graphics.
Adding basic things like a folder icon for a forum and a page style
icon for a thread are ok I think though. I can do those no problem.
It still stands though that it'd be nice to allow users to override the
default with a custom icon for the forum.
The rest of the graphics are probably best left to a theme with a
switch to switch on graphical buttons or leave them as text. It'd be
ok to supply an example graphical theme I think also but leave the
default as text.
